Sketchy A/F gauge

Just bought this 92 talon 2 weeks ago and among other problems the A/F gauge is doing this:

(For those without sound the first 10 seconds or so it's just idling yet the gauge is fluctuating quite a bit)

Is it broken or is it possible that something's really that ****ed up with my fuel system or intake? Might a boost leak cause something like this? Going to do a boost leak test next weekend once I'm home again because I've got other problems (fuel cut due to hardcore boost creep). I'm pretty sure "Autometer" is the equivalent of SS Autochrome eBay crap so it's very possible it's broken, just seeing what you guys think.

ROFFLE!!! those air fuel ratio gauges are worthless anyway. that one if working fine and your car is fine. its what happens when its in open loop aka not on the throttle much
