The Mopar name was sure representing that night! One Dodge bounced off the rev into 2nd while waiting for the transmission to actually shift, and the other Mopar there almost completely fried the tranny racing Jester.

well before his transmission held gear and he hit the rev limimter i was pulling pretty hard.
idk what the gears are in the R/T..but taylor's gears have no top end at all.

The gears in the r/t are steeper, but it doesnt rev as easy or as high. There isnt as much of a difference between 1st 2nd and 3rd in the r/ts either. R/t has 3.92s and I only have 3.55s. :(

How do you figure? He had you out of the hole, then went into 2nd right away, which is where he started slipping. There was no pulling on your end within those few seconds.

he had me out of the hole by about a car but as soon as i got traction i was dead even with him. i was about a fender ahead when his car hit the rev limiter. thats when we both shut down.

No. He kept into it all the way through 2nd while he was slipping. We all heard it. If you both let off at the same time, then that means that he hung next to you while slipping through 2nd the whole time. lol

So have the 4.7s. And omg wheels and its lowered a tad. The gearing is not better. The rear end may have a better ratio, but the transmission gears are ghey as aids. Not to mention the typical dodge o/d fluid controlled tranny.

Reg cabs run that. The 4.7 comes in a 5spd option that can crack 14s bone stock. You just opened a big can of worms that is one of the flaws for the 4.7...exhaust. CC 5spd daks crack 14s, so do the reg cab autos. I should be in the 14s but I'm not :dunno:
