so two days ago i started my car and i noticed that the idle was rough, and my rpms were bouncing around along with my voltage meter. i start driving it and it drives rough and cuts in and out its about to die or like your about to kill it, but after about 5-10 min of driving it quits and runs perfectly. its been doing this for about three days now and it seems to only happen when the motor is cold, other wise it runs jst fine.. i thought that maybe its got a miss fire, or that maybe the fuel filter was pluged but idk what that would hafta do with the temp of the motor, and my check engine light is not on either. got any ideas id really like ur guys input... thanks

sounds like it thinks its warm when it really isn't, my jeep is a little stuttery until it warms up(my coolant sensor broke off in the intake so am using a resister until I replace it otherwise it won't run when it warms up), especially since the mornings are fairly cold now. Use a multimeter and measure the resistance of the coolant temp sensor when the engine is cold.

i'd almost think this is a vacuum leak, but then you say it drives fine after awhile so...were you working on it before this?
