I wouldn't say our offense improved, our running game was shaky at best and we passed the ball better against an much weaker Ball State defense. But yeah, our defense has been the main culprit in our shortcomings this year. As much as I hate most of the ESPN crew, they're right about our defense. Callahan should have never let Pelini slip away. We had some great defenses with a lot less talent under Pelini and now look. He's got a killer defense and is one of the top defensive coordinators in the county. Now we're able to get a little better recruits, that with Pelini's defense and we'd be a whole different team.

So in short ... I hate Cosgrove, never have liked the guy.

Our offense isnt exactly great but at least they have an idea of what they are supposed to be doing out there. Our defense looks so out of focus is makes me sick. After watching how slack ass Tierre Green was playing i am going to guess Bo Ruud rubbed off on him (yes i hate Bo Ruud, he is a pussy and never hits anybody) I dont care that he made the play to win the game. So since cosgrove is in charge of picking his players to put on the field he should probably just clean out his desk. There is no reason for Tierre Green to even play when we have Tenarse (sp?) #3, he is inexperienced and may make a few mistakes here and there but he is physical and looking to hit some people. Bo Ruud should never get to play no reason for him to play when we Octavien, Mckeon, Brandenburg, and Dillard.

But the guy who i suppose own's husker football, made a mistake kicking out solich (sp?) and I can't really say i like any of the staff besides the quarterback and running back coach.
What the **** happen to our run defense? And what the **** is up with half of our play calling? I think it really started to **** me off last year vs USC. where we would run the ball 24/7 and get no where. and pass it once and actually move the chains. then this year, it was pretty 50/50, but there was times when the run was workign and we would turn around and pass and visa versa. WTF i hate to blame callahan. but still he only won with the raiders because of the coach before him. the ass clown.

#1 reason is bill callahan calling the plays...he is a terrible play caller...he can squash his own momementum...and trying to "not get beat bad" is also hurting recruiting because no one wants to come to a school where the team is scared to be aggressive....his recruiting record is about as bad as solichs
#2 steve pedersen....doesnt know what he is doing...plain and simple
#3 Grixby....the kid cannot defend...he waits till the recieve catches the ball then tackles him...GREAT JOB
#4 Lucky...puts his head down and runs straight up the middle for those impressive 2 yd gains...you suck...a new number but same running ability
#5 The fans....used to be proud of the huskers now make threads and whine about how much they suck...face it..the option would not have been competitive these days with all the great teams with fast players...defenses are fast now and an option is no match for it..
#6 keller....the most pressure he could be under and still do ok is maybe Geology 101:rocks for jocks where the teacher gives him the answer...

all in all nebraska has problems with recruiting which is the major reason we suck and the reason we would have never won again under solich....the only year solich won was under osbornes recruiting class...and callahan is proving to be a solich rather than an osborne

It starts with the coaching, then down to the players. Callahan can't call plays for ****. Cosgrove doesn't have the D ready to play. The defensive players are not making plays. I think the only bright spot on Nebraska's team is the receivers(the ones that can actually catch Purify and Swift) and the linebacking core(Octavien, McKeon, and Brandenberg). The rest of the team is garbage. In fact it looks like the players got worse from last year to this year, especially the defensive backs running backs.

if you want something bad enough, you will do what it takes. although honestly, i dont see everyone boycotting the games making a difference since perlman is dating pederson and pederson is still in love with his high school sweet heart callahan.

and if the attendance streak is the last thing to hold on to, that is a shame and should be reason enough to boycott the games. its like supporting the terrorists. you can secretly do it and approve of it but dont let anyone know.

And I'm really not opposed to Callahan, he's not that bad of a coach, Pederson on the other hand, total douche cake. It's not Callahan's fault he got hired. I do think the whole situation with Solich getting fired was bullshit and would have at least liked to see Pelini get hired in his place, but you can't fault Callahan for stepping in. He had nothing to do with Solich leaving.

if people go for the atmosphere, then they shouldnt be bitching about when the huskers lose. the point is, is that the biggest power the fans have when it comes to the team is whether or not they go to the games. if all they are willing to do is complain but wont do anything then dont be upset when the huskers suck. its pointless to demand change when you arent willing to change either.

TBH Recruiting is better for the Huskers this year but i will have to say that they did forget about the D when they were recruiting the past couple years so that has really hurt our team overall and I think Callahan likes shooting himself in the foot!

that wouldn't do ****. the coordinator had nothing to do with the USC game. Our defense just got manhandled, there's no fix for that.
