Okay so last week, July 10th, I discovered a plan to eat healthy. One thing lead to another, and now I'm on a full blown diet, exercise, taking supplements and joining a gym soon. So I decided to copy thunder and make a work log.
July 10: 205lbs
July 20: 200 even. :woot: Just a little over a week and had no real exercise yet and no supplements. That is just eating better... not even eating strict. Subway style, call me Jared.
So here's my plan and what I have now:
Went to both GNC and Complete Nutrition. I really like the setup of CN better, and they just look like better products, but the one dude was chatting with some musclehead the whole time while the other tattoo'd ratty looking employee cruised the internet. I just wanted the skinny on vitamins, but next time I'll hit another store.
Aric got me a GNC gift card, so I spent and hour and a half this morning looking through everything offered and looked it up on www.skinnyondiets.com. Turns out Aric is taking one of the things I was seriously considering, so I picked it up on sale and got the gold card. It's called hydroxycut hardcore. pretty powerful and you have to ease into it the first week. THe gold card is sweet. 15 bucks, and you go in the first week of every month for 20% off everything.. even if it's on sale. I took the remainder of my gift card to chip in on some FRS orange chews. They taste good and simply give you a boost of energy plus constrict your stomach.
Sometime I really want to try some other chews I found online that all the professional reviews are hot over. It's $80 and can only get from the supplier, but it's a little chocolate chew that not only suppresses your stomach, but works in 5 minutes and lasts for 4-6 hours... and not just leave you marginally hungry. It makes it so you simply are FULL. Everyone seems to love them. Perfect for on the road I think.
Anyway, I ended up scouring Russ's market for some fish oil and some vitamins. It turns out centrum makes a performance blend now that is equal to all the top dollar stuff from GNC and the like anyway, so I picked that up for only 15 bucks. The fish oil was a 90 ct. bottle for 10 bucks. I need that to stabilize my system, since blood pressure and cholesterol problems run in the family, but mostly because I am a forgetful son of a *****... and the ones I got have omega-3 in it.
Anyway, I feel awesome about this and I'm even more hardcore about it since day 1, which is a great sign that I'll pull through with it. I just can't wait to join prarie life after I start the new job.... maybe a month out?
I finally threw some batteries in the elliptical here at home after 3 years and loaded my mp3 player with some upbeat stuff. Hooked it up to the system in the living room and I was able to burn off 200 calories......... I'm not lying when I started questioning my life after getting done. My back and chest went into cramps at the 100 calorie mark. I should probably take it easy from now on. But I plan to go on light jogs around my the Apricot Lane Raceway. It's a perfect replica of Talledega... no kidding.
K I'm done. To be continued.
EDIT: here's the bites I was talking about... www.hoodiabites.com
