murphys qp doesnt have everything you need and is the MOST unorganized place youll ever see. They had alot of sae stuff that i saw but jack **** for metric. they just had random ****ing boxes and bolts thrown about laying on the ground and ****... bakers hardware down by the haymarket... they got what you need.

I'm pretty sure where i use to work is alot closer. The one we picked up the tiki torches from. The bolts you will need will be straight back after going inside in isle 15. Grade 8 right hand side. And will be in the tubs.

well i was looking for like grade 8 and i was thinking of m&m fasteners (i think thats what it was called) but their closed. i picked up some what i think are grade 5 bolts from bakers ace hardware. they will do untill i get a new turbo in a bunch of months lol. and kelvo i ended up using the 7cm housing off the 16g cuz the exhaust wheels from 14b to 16g are the same size woot

I used grade 10.5 allens on my hahn turbo. Bought them @ Baker's ACE down on 8th st. They carry the 1.25 pitch in allens.

I believe he's looking for M&M Metric Fastener, they're on Cornhusker just past 56th.

I'm simply trying to figure out 1. why Mike can't reuse them. 2. how, after working his car so much he doesn't have a container of fasteners to sift through and use.

lol QP on 48th/holdrege is like the WORST freakin hardware store in lincoln when it comes to bolts. The best ace imo is the 14th/superior when it comes to the metric bolt/stuff bins selection.
DSMMIKE
25th September 2007, 03:33 PM
arent all of the ace's going to have the same exact selection :dunno:

Nah, some have more than others

If I'm not mistaken, most of them are franchised, so selection can vary quite a bit. I know that the new one on 14th and Superior has a pretty impressive selection, as does the one at 48th and Vine. And most of it is even Grade 8 or better, rather than that cheap as hardware that Mitsubishi uses.
But if you really need something specific, M&M Metric is the place to go. They even had an 11mm x 1.0 (super fine) Heli-coil kit in stock when I needed to rethread the flywheel bolts in my crankshaft.
