so what kinda tires did a 85 yota come out of the box with because that would be about the only mod i would see the yota needing to own some jeep
4 cam torino
15th July 2008, 02:41 PM
Did an 85 Yota come with a 4:1 low gear in the transfer case? Doubtful. If it's not a Rubicon why would you even mention it or attempt to take it off road? I'm pretty sure a Wrangler dominates the Yota in terms of approach, depature, and break over angle in addition to the crawl ratio as was implied by the inquiry on it's low range gearing and not that tires themselves really count as a mod but no one puts a better tire on stock for wheeling than Jeep on a Wrangler.
I used to hate on the abilities of Wranglers and then I witnessed them. Wrangler hate is only expressed out of ignorance.

I don't mind Wranglers. It is their owners who think that their Jeeps are superior to everything else. Just like racing, there is always a better rig than yours out there.
