View Full Version : honda v. mitsu injectors?

I always thought I could use DSM injectors on my honda, is this wrong? Precision lists a "honda style" and a "mitsu style" as different part numbers. Can someone tell me what the difference is?

high and low impedance. dsm injectors are top fed...assuming yours are too?

yes, top feed. I know ppl run dsm 440s in hondas without issues, and evo injectors in dsms, so then evo injectors should fit right? I dont care about the impedance, I have a resistor box already so it shouldnt be an issue.

I just won this auction so I hope they work:

impedence is the only difference so do be worried. if you have the correct resistance your only problem will be tuning it correctly. any top fed injector will work.

actually there is a diff in the size of them at the manifold end you just have to get differnt seals. I saw a writeup of it on eather honda tech or team integra.

you can use them, all u gots to do is wire the injectors up and since u already got a resistor box ur good 2 go

Don't trust all write ups. 440's drop right in. No mods or anything. I used my honda seals.

i think they said they hang into the intake runners you needed a little thicker seal to keep them out of the path of the airflow. but its been a whille sense i read it so i could be wrong

I always thought Honda injectors were shorter? I don't have a definitive answer for this one though.

they are i just found the write up on home made turbo. it says you have to have taller seals so the dsm injectors don't hang into the runners.

i can get taller seals and put spacers on the studs for the rail if I need to for $120 injectors, not a problem at all.

I wish I could pay that for injectors

they went in, I had to buy 4 O-rings to make them work, that cost me a whopping $2. The injectors got to me within a couple days of payment, I love eBay.

Seen some posts on bad things happening when using resistors. Just be careful on the tune as they may screw up the fuel curve when compared to RPM. Basically the AFRs that you see may not be entirely correct for the RPM range that you're looking at. Just something I've heard. No first hand experience.

You realize this is almost a year old thread right?

Free post! Don't resistors mess with the opening and closing of low impedance injectors when used on a high impedance system?

Well screw me sideways. I usually look for stuff like that.

if you use a good ecu or tuning software it will correct the difference. I have aem and it will do all the battery offset adjustments and resistor compensation that is needed with the change.

and again way to bring back a dead thread
