Check the story at the top of the page
this is total BS.....what did the kid do to get tasered?....all he did was ask a question and the cops rushed him.....they could've at least gave him an explanation as to why they attacked him
If i were him, i'd sue the school.
...and if John kerry is a supossed leader....why didn't he come down and tell the cops to leave the kid alone...all he did was ask a question....is that against the law?
these dykes that can't get a real police job **** me off...

That's complete bullshit.
Ok sure he's a ****, but he still did nothing wrong. It's not illegal to ask a controversial question or to have an unpopular opinion on a subject.
I hope he gets every one of those police officers fired and wins a ton of money from somebody for that.

I don't have sound at work, but after watching it I would agree with Dave. Looks like he certainly could have deserved it. Not for asking questions, but for the way he was resisting the officers trying to remove him. They simply subdued him. end of story.

Of course he was resisting them dragging him out of the building, he didn't do a damn thing other than ask some unpopular questions. He wasn't resisting arrest, he was resisting bullshit.

Did the police request him to leave? yes
Did he say no or resist? yes
That warrants the officers using reasonable means to subdue and remove the person.
I don't care is he was asking why is the sky blue. Resisting an officer's request is resisting an officer's request, plain and simple. I suppose you'd say the same thing if he had been pulled over and asked for a breathalyzer. OMG he was tazered because he acted like a beligerant fool and said no. He wasn't resisting the officer, he was resisting bullsh*t.

he didnt nothing wrong until he resisted the officers. resisting officers calls for that. granted they were out of line kicking him out like that. he still fought back and didnt listen

isn't there something that says you have to be told why you're being taken into custody? the voices were pretty clear and i didnt hear anything stated.

i'm not saying if any of that was right or wrong.. just asking a question

I'm not arguing that they can't legally do what they did, I just don't think it should be legal for cops to be able to force you to leave a public venue for no reason. Sure if it goes to court the officers won't even get a slap on the wrists, but legal or not, it's not the police departments job to keep political discussions nice. Also they did use excessive force, sure he was resisting, but all they had to do was get a knee on his back and cuff him, there were 3+ cops and one skinny guy doing more yelling than resisting, they didn't need to taser.

thats why they're putting video cameras on the tasers to prevent the cops from being sued.

what a load of ****. Did you even watch the video? He did nothing wrong, and the officers were out of line. The taser was excessive force. 6 officers vs 1 small college student. It wasn't like he was a ****ing linebacker or something... those officers should have had no problem arresting him. The taser was excessive.

Any time your hands go above your shoulders you're asking to get tazed, it's just one of the hard facts of life.

Last time I checked, it was ok to say no. BUT, not in this society. If you don't fit in with the crowd, you get tasered. Rise against the machine.:rolleye2:
BTW You sound like a cop

wow, that sucks...i'll make sure to never do that...
i'll just put my hands in my pants and act like i'm pulling out a gun or knife...maybe i'll be let go then.
i'd have done the same thing the kid did....
If you do nothing wrong, why be assaulted by the police...i would've shouted "what did I do?" multiple time and if a stupid rent-a-cop can't give me a answer, then ya, i'll not listen to them.....and I'm not even a person that likes confrontation...but if you bring it too me...then you better be ready.
If you watch the people along the wall, you will see them looking off camera and then looking back at the boy, then the one guy gives the "throat slash" motion to cut him off, and then the wanna-be cops attack him
...something is wrong w/ that picture....who is giving the signal to cut the kid off....
The kid has free speech...if they don't want personal questions asked, then don't hold the public forum....easy as that....

I've been watching the news at work the last 2 days on this situation I don't think he deserved what he got it was total bullsh*t they clearly violated his rights and action should be taken to make the cops get what they deserve for using excessive force.

You apparently didnt watch the same video i did. the cops were already standing there waiting for him obviously because he was out of line in the first place. i agree there are some times when people shouldnt be tasered.

uhh...Every TV anchor discussing this issue has called it a "gross abuse of power." And I agree. So what if the guy was taking up time. He has the same rights as anyone else in that room. As far as everone else in the room that didn't do anything. Just a bunch of people who have become acclimated to the common abuse of power and didn't want to get involved. They just didn't want to get tasered.
It's ok to question the authorities or the government. ****, someone has to. After seeing that video, I feel like I live in a dictatorship. "Say nothing against your leaders or fear a flogging." :bdsm:
