Lincoln license plate conspiracy

I think they put POS xxx and PSY xxx on plates just so you are tempted to buy personalized plates. Or some other weird 3 letter combination. I'd hate to be like the pastor in Iowa who had PSY 247 for 20 years.

The story is back in college there were these guys from Iowa in one of the dorms. They had an expired Iowa license plate that was hung on the wall that used to belong to their priest's or pastor's car for a number of years. Was over there a couple times and finally someone asked what the license plate that read "247 PSY" or "PSY 247" meant. They thought it meant "Pussy 24/7". People were joking about it for years and eventually some holy roller told the priest about it and the priest got a different license plate number.

Every time I see PSY xxx on some plates around town, it reminds me of that story.

Shoot, it might have been michigan. The plate had a complety blue background. Its been 3 years since I was in college, 3 years since I seen the plate. It was letters first though.
