I have this sitting around and have used it for years....I love it, but it can be a pain to get off sometimes....and doesn't last as long as I'd like it too....but it looks great when it is just put on

what other wax do you guys recommend?...that lasts long and is fairly easy to apply....

What you need is a bottle of Green-Stuff Wax Polish. What I need is for you to try a free bottle of my wax and tell your friends about it. Wha d'ya say?

i use turtle wax ICe on the bike and mequires with a buffer on the gsx. If you clay bar your car every year in the spring you might notice the wax staying longer.

i've always found the Turtle Wax ICE products to work fairly decent. The quick spray detailer works good after your dont washing the car and acts as a wax also, just spray on and wipe off. I've also used BlackMagic stuff and am not quite sure whether i like it better then ICE, for the fact its a pain to get swirls out.

Quick Note tho..i noticed a lot of guys at the Power Tour using Mothers

but if someone wants to pay me for using a certain kind of wax i would do it too. but IMO turtle wax ICE ftw!

only thing i don't like about ice is on my silver car its really hard to see and on adams car it would be even worse. get yourself a clay bar medium grade and some spray on wax and spend about 3 hours going over every panel lightly and then wax it. just don't push hard and make swirl marks.

yeah i tried using it on my dad's old denali and it didn't work worth a ****.
but on my car it works good. its just expensive. i know they make a "liquid clay bar" anyone have any experiance with that?

I use Nu Finish 'cause it wipes off easy when you're applying it and tends to last awhile.
Otherwise a lot of meguiar's products have worked well for me too.

Nu Finish ftmfw. Its not actually a true wax, so it won't suffocate your paint, but it lasts 6 months to a year, and buffs the old dead paint off, and leaves a film much like a normal wax. We used it on our truck on our farm, had new paint, but super sun faded, and it made it shine like new. My dad bought like a 72 jeep cj5, original paint, nu finish = that jeep looking like it just got repainted.

i don't have enough time in my life. I think ICE is the best bang for the buck. easy on, easy off. can be applied in the sun or shade. Being oil based it does collect dust alot faster than most other waxes. I also found bugs like it as well. Especially when it's wet... So i try to do the car in sections to keep the flies off my car...

I have used just about every kind of wax i used to work at oreillys so i tried just about everything. I think ICE is good easy on and off but i think meguiars gives you a lot better shine and wax really isnt for a good shine wax just protects the shine. If you go into any auto parts store meguiars should have a three step deal they're maroon colored bottles ones a paint cleaner ones a polish(which is what creates the shine) and the third is a wax but i dont recommend that particular wax either meguiars gold class or there tech wax, those would be my top choices. hope that helps.

This is waht a great deal of the pro detailers on autotopia recommend, well except the zaino sackriders. Make sure you get NXT2.0 (tech wax 2.0), the regular stuff isnt QUITE as good. I swear by this stuff though.

ICE is decent as well, just not as long lasting.... which is fine though.

Oh and walmart has NXT2.0 the cheapest of any place, but sometimes they only carry the regular tech wax.

I used the ICe on my Lincoln, both the "Liquid claybar" and the wax and it stained the finish on my car. I have since quit waxing and use only polish, Wizards to be exact and the shine is amazing.

I've started waxing and polishing and all that jazz. My car is broken so often, I may as well make it a pretty broken car.
