EVAP removal?

I have decided that the charcoal can is in my way and its goin bye bye. I am well aware that it is there for a reason, my question is what to do with the open line that is left....plug? leave open? other option?

Vent it somewhere away from heat / sparks and outside the vehicle.

has anyone ever put compressed air into a charcoal canister? like blow into it with compressed air?
