this thread will fail if you dont specify what part of your regiment you are at:

beginners get more gains from isolation days and more rest between....intermediate get more gains from mix between isolation and compound days......and people doing it for awhile do better with strictly compound workouts

Like some people do fullbody three times a week ie. monday, wednesday, friday.

And other do splits like Monday=chest and tris Tuesday=rest Wednesday=Back Bis Thursday=off Friday=Legs

SO the first group hits all muscles 3x a week where as the split group hits them 1x.

Explain

the best routine is the one where you tie a noose, put neck through it, hang from something sturdy and kick the chair under you.

hope that helps

well aperently no one here knows what there doing by the looks of ya'll anyways!

well let's see I run 3 miles on monday, muscle failure of upper body and abs on tuesday, 2miles of sprints on wednesday, light 2 mile jog and more muscle failure on thursday, and a hard 5+ mile run on friday. I give myself Sat-Sun off. Keeps me at the level where on my PT test I can run the 2mile in 12 minutes, do 70pushups in two minutes, and 80situps in 2 minutes.

but everyone on SCR is a fatass except you :rolleye:

David
7th June 2008, 04:06 PM
Thats a ****ing decent 2 mile time. What are your PT requirements?

it's based off age group, but really it's a joke. my group (22-26) the minimum standards are like 2 mile in 15:54, 45 pushups and 52 situps i think.

David
7th June 2008, 04:51 PM
at your age what do you have to run to get full points on your test?

Hibs
7th June 2008, 04:51 PM
we've got a couple guys here that run 2 miles in 10minutes! one of my good friends at basic could run in the 12s, then did like 95 pushups and 105 situps. he was a freak.

Hibs

full is 2 mile in 13 flat, then i think it's like 68-70 pushups and 77 situps. i never remember the pushups/situps.
