lol damn straight getn the drag radials and i like em better in the snow anyways from exp hated street tires in the snow in the gt, thing is i can get the vid camera but we dont have the cable to put them on the net, and yea i was thinking burn em up also but not till they pop prolly just burn em nice and bald since they seem to have at least another year or so of life it might be a big skanky burn out just have to find a good spot to do it where i know i can get away with it. open for suggestions and or anybody that wants to get in on the vid camera i think my brother might also want to destroy his tires but i have to make sure my tires get in b4 i can do it, then sat its time for the track on the radials

Are you seriously driving that car in the snow on drag radials? Do you have a ****ing death wish? :nervous:
David
18th September 2007, 09:39 AM
actually.. a softer compound tire would work better on ice. i'm sure there is a different compound for ice and drag radials but it could work. As for moving snow through the tread... ummm. no.

id like to be there and laugh at anyone who uses DR's in the snow.
David

Disclaimer: I in no way suggest using DR's in the snow let alone the rain.
Cobra Commander
18th September 2007, 09:50 AM
I drove to work once in the rain with my DRs after I had launched on them a couple times. The car would get sideways in 5th at 35mph if I gave it any gas. I'm sure snow would be even more fun.....

like i said on scr, i lived in laramie wyoming sorry but a heck of alot more snow, they got me around alot better than the falcon street tires i had, and i had a crappy 98 4x4 f150 and i chose to drive my drag radial mustang vs the truck anyday i guess ive gotten use to driving a full race tire on the snow since i was 16 when i had my lude and i put an f1 style racing tire on it, it slid all over the place till i got use to driving it, now if i get the other bfg drag radials instead of the pro comps i might not do so much driving in the snow but pro comps are an awesome tire period.

For some reason i was expecting a response like that. I figured you had probably done this... I've driven in the snow with bald tires (last year) and i think it was harder but still do able.

ive gotten use to driving a full race tire on the snow
But why? DR's don't hook for **** when it is cold out, so why even drive on them and wear the tire down before next year when you can actually use them? ****, buy some $50 dollar used Mustang wheels off eBay with winter tires. Its not like you will be racing in the snow anyway.....

I could go buy a $300 pos and do one. And all four tires have produced a little smoke from them before lol. Actually I think it's more entertaining to watch huge pile of shits do burnouts than a nice car you know can easily spin them.
Just saying I don't get why everybody is OMG burnout show me VIDEO!!!!!!
David
22nd September 2007, 02:43 PM
it's the same thing as OMG STEETRACING VIDEO. its' just entertaining... Just depends on what you are into... YOu post a 1/4 street racing video and matt :bored: you post a drifting video and he's :rolleye:.... and its' the other way for most of the board... some people like burnsouts others could care less.
They do have burn out contest. btw.
because of these contest they even have special compounds of tires that smoke different colors.

I give the colored smoke tires props for lasting that longs on that truck lol!
Ok sure, when you're not just sitting there but going all over the place with colored smoke it's not that bad.
But, this is what you all are wanting a video of:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEDws0-EvjA&NR=1
The only way that would be cool is if the tires completely blew up or the engine exploded or a cow came running from the field and took a big **** on the window.

For a good spot to do a burnout... How about in the street in front of your driveway, at a major intersection in 5 O' clock traffic, or donuts in the middle of a major intersection.
The last one has been done by someone on this board, so don't think it's out of your realm of possibilities.
