Im not sure if this is where to post this? but what is the biggest wheel I can put on the rear of my 04 Mustang?
I am looking at getting some Prostar 15x10's possibly
and what is the biggest slick that I can run on the street that I can get on this rim and still fit in the wheel well? thanks

28x10 Hoosiers. You'll need to roll the lip.

With $24,600 worth of supporting suspension, custom tailored launch control devices and a 2800# car, sure. I agree.
My favorite racing class is the 10.5 outlaw class. Those guys can run just about anything they want as long as they run no wider than a 10.5" tire. There are numerous participants running in th 6's in the 1/4 on 10.5s. But, they have substantially upgraded suspension to alter the instant center of gravity to maximize the use of the small tire. Not to mention, you won't see hardly any of them race on the street.
Granted he's not making 2500HP, but he also has essentially stock suspension. The added tire width & height will help offset the lack of suspension and poor racing surface (the street).
He just wants to win a race or two. :)

a properly setup suspension is different then a crazy costing setup.
www.baselinesuspensions.com .... a set of kevin's control arms i'm sure would get him to hook, and they don't cost crazy amount of money. hell, just look at the fairmont. it's got just the basic HPM control arms, and a 275 drag radial. it's cutting 1.3 something sixty times?

I agree. I wouldn't run anything else on a Mustang.

my point is, why go beating up your fender when there is no need for it, especially on a mostly stock car.

This is the suspension already installed on the car plus sub-frame connectors...but I really don't want to roll the lip on my fenders so I'll probably just go with a 15x8 wheel then.
thanks for the input guys

My buddy runs some 28x10 (I think) on his 02 GT with sportline springs and they just barely rub over bumps.

Out launching on the streets, launches crazy hard. They are some E.T. Drags so they are woobly as hell driving around with them. If he didn't have Sportlines, I don't think they would rub at all.

no they were just some old slicks he had laying around. Hurt the car more then they help it really. I was just saying that they fit for comparison. I checked and they are 29's.
