ironic that 5 years ago i would have killed for this kind of weight gain. Not to mention i was a ****ing twig.

protein doesnt help you lose weight though

David
19th May 2008, 05:36 PM
I think alot of it's water. I'm going to go to the mall and see what they have to flush my water weight out.

coop
19th May 2008, 05:37 PM
just drink water to lose water weight

David

not from what i've read. There is a lengthy artical on mens health that explained how loading up on protain encourages weight loss. The red in my sig is from eating well and lots of protein. Hardly any working out.

just drink water to lose water weight

exactly how does that work?

coop
19th May 2008, 05:39 PM
40:40:20 diet for losing weight

30:40:30 diet for gaining weight

C:P:F.......protein stays the same

David
19th May 2008, 05:40 PM
is that for when you are also excerising? cuz i wasn't.

coop
19th May 2008, 05:41 PM
exactly how does that work?

say your body has 1 gallon of water in it (pure water form).....and another person has 1 gallon of water in them (coca cola form)......

person A is "skinnier".......water gets retained when its coupled with bad diet.....so saturate your system so it frees water.....and "cleanses"

David
19th May 2008, 05:43 PM
Do those water pills work? Not that i'm opposed to drinking more water but woudl that accelerate the water loss?

coop
19th May 2008, 05:44 PM
water pills are just diretics......if you go that route...coffee and tea (no sugar or cream in either) would be WAY easier and more cost effective

water pills are just diretics......

Diuretics.

Drink a gallon a day, David. It'll flush out bad ****, and keep you hydrated. Spread your water intake out over the course of the day though. You'll also **** a lot more, which could be decent if you don't like your job. Lord knows I enjoyed pissing when I worked at Speedway and would drink a gallon in 8 hours.

But seriously, Men's Health magazine has some good stuff in it. I highly recommend "The Abs Diet," which was written by David Zinczenko, the chief editor at MH.
Buy it here:
http://www.amazon.com/Abs-Diet-Six-Week-Flatten-Stomach/dp/1594862168/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1211250397&sr=8-1

Sounds gimmicky, but it works well for an all-around healthy eating and exercising plan. The 6 week cut plan is decent as well. I lost about 15 lbs. by following this book verbatim.

any diet works as long as its 1) healthy 2)maintained 3) coupled with an exercise plan

ive gained 28lbs since february 16, i've actually gained about 5 lbs in the past few days, to lose some water weight try having a cup of tea every once in a while, it goes right through you, enemas work if your trying to shed a couple lbs, but watch out, you'll have horror stories if you forget to take the cap off

i was at 135 when i started in feb now i'm at 150ish. first time i've ever seen that number. i walk about 2 miles a day and usually lift 100bls objects at work. I thought that red number was your points on license again and i was going to laugh.

wow, i don't know how many of you wrestle, but that is weight loss at its best. both me a 302fox took a beating this winter. before the season i weighed around 145 and i wrestled at 125 so twice a week i had to weigh in at exactly that, or not be allowed to wrestle. that is tough ****. i weigh 140ish now and from my expericence not that it is wise or good is just not eating till you are stuffed. You can lose natural weight by working out(mildly) and just not stuffing your self. i think the biggest part of eating is mental. so if you are mentally tough enough to not eat until you are stuff at every meal you will shed pounds.
