Why dont' you race at night? Did you have a bad experience? Doesn't seem like you'll get much racing done since all of us race at night. During the day just isn't a good idea around here.

Yes, very bad experience. Daylight only for me. As I said in another thread, cops are like cocka-roaches. I can't risk having them hide in the shadows any more.

I'm going to get the car out now for a couple of hours. I'll be in the old school area. Just call.

nick,your a weird duck.
no one is gonna race in the daylight with ya man.
too many passerby's....guaranteed it'll get called in.
and so what if we can "see" them,if they're that close they'll be telling us to leave either way.

ya, but its hardly the norm. 99% of the time we race at night. The only place I feel comfortable racing during the day is Mcormik but theres trailors there now.

Yeah, I guess it is wierd, Andrew, but I can't risk being in that environment with that car if cops show. I'm not talking about a big gathering of people like you do on the weekend. Two cars racing, a few witnesses and bail. That's how I race these days.

how long can we expect you to race that way???? My racing has been cut down dramatcially due to points. But i think i can take stop class again, but of course that doesnt' fix all problems if they really try to stick it in your ass. After Feb. will drop 6 points and then another 2 will come off before July. So as long as i don't get anymore tickets i'll be ready to play next year :) this year i'm being a pain in the ass with making sure my ass is covered.

Did a cop touch u in the dark one time?

No ****. I get so much as a broken taillight citation, I'm fired. And that means losing my house the hard way. We have great organization skills here. If you scope the area, listen to the scanner, and don't race when there's headlights, you won't have a problem. They can't ticket you unless they witness the race.

i had the sheriff spotlight me yesterday... had a nice little chat, as long as you're not doing it when they catch you, not much they can do other than stupid stuff... but he even told me that he wasn't out there to mess with us, just wanted us to "hang out" somewhere else.

And i kinda lucked out last night when I got my ticket I actually got a generous cop and said he was only going to give me "engaging in a speed contest" ticket not wreckless driving.
